P-toluenesulfonyl cyanides (p-Toluenesulfonyl cyanides) are organic compounds. Its molecular formula is C8H7NO2S, and its structure contains tolyl and sulfonyl cyano.

Use:

It can be used as an Amine protecting agent, that is, it can produce sulfenamide or ether, it can also be used as a deprotection reagent, and it can also be used for cyanation reaction and carbonylation reaction.
Method:
P-toluenesulfonyl cyanide can be prepared by reacting methanesulfonyl chloride with hydrocyanic acid, and the HCl generated by the reaction can be neutralized by alkali.
